Instructions:
1) Your customers have to earn POINTS for every dollar they spend. How many points? This is an arbitrary number:

Of course, 1 point for 1 dollar is easy, but it also makes it much easier for your customers to figure out how much they have spent at your business when they look at the amount of points they will have accumulated. Really, there’s no reason to alarm them that they love you very much and spend boatloads at your shop, so perhaps an odd number that makes it just a little more difficult to quickly calculate they are Shopaholics! We recommend at least 100 if you’re going to be counting pennies, but again, it can simply be 3 or 5 or 20, if you don’t mind some cents getting rounded off to the nearest full point value.

Once you have picked number, enter that number in the Points per Dollar box above.
2) Next, the Spend to Reward Ratio can be thought of as “how many times should a customer buy a product or service until a reward of equal value is reached?”

Typically this is a number between 8 and 25 or more, but again, this is something that’s business specific. For example, you often see coffee shops offer a free cup of coffee after your 10th one. The higher the number, the more conservative you are, money-wise, but also the harder for your customers to get to their reward.

Enter a number in the Spend to Rewards Ratio box, and then play around with some numbers. Try a few values until you are comfortable with the results.
